Common Senses: Social & Humanities Journal is a fully open-access scholarly journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of knowledge. All published articles are made immediately and permanently available online for readers worldwide without subscription fees, paywalls, or registration requirements.

The journal believes that scholarly knowledge should be accessible to researchers, educators, students, practitioners, policymakers, and the wider public. By providing immediate open access, Common Senses supports the broader exchange of ideas and promotes the visibility and accessibility of research across the humanities and social sciences.

Immediate Open Access

All articles published in Common Senses are freely available immediately upon publication. Readers may access, read, download, and share the full-text articles without charge.

The journal operates under a continuous publication model with one volume per year, allowing accepted manuscripts to be published individually as soon as they have successfully completed peer review and the production process.

Article Processing Charge

Common Senses does not charge any submission fee.

Authors may submit manuscripts, undergo editorial assessment, participate in peer review, and complete the revision process without any submission or review charges.

To support editorial and publication services, the journal applies an affordable publication fee only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication.

The exact publication fee is transparently stated in the journal's Publication Charges page.

Payment of publication fees has no influence whatsoever on editorial assessment, peer review, reviewer selection, or publication decisions. Editorial decisions are made solely on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript.

Editorial Independence

The journal maintains complete editorial independence throughout the publication process.

Acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is determined exclusively through editorial evaluation and double-anonymous peer review. Financial considerations, including publication charges or the author's ability to pay, must not influence editorial decisions in any way.

Archiving and Long-Term Accessibility

To ensure the long-term availability of published scholarship, Common Senses preserves its published articles through its digital preservation strategy, including the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and an Institutional Repository.
