Archiving Policy

Common Senses: Social & Humanities Journal is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content.

All published articles are digitally preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and an Institutional Repository to safeguard the scholarly record and maintain access to published content over time.

The journal's digital archiving policy applies to all published articles, including articles published through its continuous publication model.

Digital Preservation

The journal maintains the following preservation mechanisms:

• PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) as the primary digital preservation mechanism; and
• Institutional Repository as an additional preservation and access mechanism.

These mechanisms are intended to ensure that published articles remain accessible even in the event of disruption to the journal's primary website or publishing platform.

Long-Term Preservation

The journal may adopt additional recognized digital preservation services, such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or other appropriate preservation systems, as the journal develops.

Any future changes to the journal's digital preservation arrangements will be reflected in this policy.

Permanence of the Scholarly Record

Published articles are considered part of the permanent scholarly record. The journal does not remove published articles solely because of changes to the journal website, publishing platform, or publication status.

Where an article requires a post-publication action, such as a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, the original article remains part of the scholarly record and the relevant notice is clearly linked to it.
