Kontribusi Pemikiran Ekonomi Islam di Era Bani Umayyah dan Relevansinya pada Masa Sekarang

Abstract

As much thought and wisdom has been taken in the time of the caliphs that existed when the Umayyad were in power, it must have had a tremendous influence related to the economic system at that time. Thus, here the author will exhibit the relevance of the economic system in the Umayah period with the present. Therefore, the author raises the title of “The Concept of Islamic Economic Thought of the Era of Bani Umayah and Its Relevance to the Present”. In this study the author uses qualitative methods. Dermatological research is research that focuses on understanding problems rather than finding problems from research. Of the many thoughts that existed during the Bani Umayyah dynasty, there is one thought that can be applied in the present time is in the form of the concept of zakat, which in the caliphate of Umar bin Abdul Aziz during his leadership was felt by the society in connection with the economic gaps that could be overcome with the maximization of the zakat system which can be implemented at this time.
